“While preparing for OD, I keep a small list of mistakes from Healthcare Listening. Reviewing why each answer went wrong keeps my study sessions more focused than simply rereading notes.”

“For OD, Healthcare Reading was the area I kept postponing. Breaking it into a few practice questions at a time makes the material much easier to revisit after work.”
Victor S.

“My OD routine is simple: one timed set, a short break, then a careful review of Dietetics Writing. The explanations show whether I understood the idea or just guessed well.”

“The OD practice questions kept my review focused.”

“I use lunch breaks to review Dietetics Speaking for OD. Short sessions work better for me because I can focus on one weak area without trying to cover the whole syllabus at once.”

“The hardest part of OD prep for me is keeping similar ideas in Healthcare Listening separate. I now write one-line comparisons after each practice set, which makes the next review much clearer.”

Of course you can. Any exam can be prepared for independently. But you’ll spend weeks extracting key concepts from dense manuals, guessing which topics are actually tested, and hoping you covered enough.
Or you can let our full-time exam team do that heavy work for you — so you can focus on practice, pass on your first attempt, and spend your evenings with friends and family instead of buried in textbooks.
FAQ
No. OET assesses English language ability, not medical knowledge. You will see dietetic contexts in profession-specific Writing and Speaking tasks, but clinical knowledge is not the intended shortcut. Base your answers on the language and the scenario evidence.
No. The official test page states that Listening and Reading are common to all candidates and focus on a variety of general medical and health interests. Writing and Speaking are profession-specific, so use general healthcare comprehension practice plus dietetic writing and role-play practice.
This guide does not provide a current dietetics pass mark, fee or universal score requirement. Recognition requirements vary by regulator, profession, country and delivery mode. Check OET and the recognising organisation directly; this guide does not set thresholds.
No. They check supporting knowledge only and are not a simulation of any OET sub-test. Writing requires actual drafting and revision, and Speaking requires live interaction with another person and observer feedback against clear criteria.
Acknowledge the concern, explain your scope, offer relevant dietetic input, and direct the patient to the appropriate professional or prescriber. Do not advise medication changes or diagnose. Note the question for the relevant review if appropriate.
When you’re preparing for an exam, the cost goes beyond study materials. It’s the evenings spent searching for answers, the uncertainty about whether you’re covering the right topics, and the possibility of paying for another exam attempt. Premium gives you a focused way to prepare. Practice questions and explanations help you check your understanding. Wrong-answer review and progress tracking show where to focus next. Flashcards, spaced repetition and timed mocks help you revisit difficult material and practise answering under pressure. The goal is to make your limited study time count—and build confidence from what you can actually answer, rather than how many hours you’ve spent reading. Better preparation can help reduce the risk of a costly retake and the extra time away from work, family or other goals. Think of Premium as an investment in your preparation and professional development: one organised system to help you use your time more effectively and approach exam day with greater confidence. Choose the certification and access period you need, with a one-time payment and no recurring subscription.
